Born Michael C Chamberlain in Anderson, IN Maja7th (pronounced Major Seventh) is a Hip Hop/R&B and Pop music producer and musician. Since his introduction to music as a young child Maja has been immersed in the culture as well as the arts.. Maja gained experience in music and theory throughout middle school and high school. The producer credits his musical experience to his mother who would play artists such as Al Green, James Brown and B.B. King as well as other genre’s such as gospel, jazz and classical. Maja went on to attend Ball State University where he decided to move to Chicago upon his graduation to pursue his musical dreams.

Maja hit the ground running once he arrived in Chicago with his two close friends who he would provide production for. Maja continued to build his name in Chicago where he finally dropped his first ever solo project entitled The Breakout. The album featured artists like Add-2, Freddie Gibbs, L.E.P Bogus Boys, Pill and host of other talented performers. The album would help Maja establish his name as one of the go to producers in Chicago. Maja7th is a battle tested producer being a participant in multiple beat battles and music seminars around the United States as well.
Maja would continue to work with up and coming artists like himself in the Midwest to develop his sound and to continue to master his craft. One of his biggest releases to date was his collaborative effort with rapper Dominique Larue from Columbus, OH entitled GRAND. The 9 track EP and its instrumentals have been streamed over a million times to date.

Maja has been featured on over 250 independent and major music blogs including 2 Dope Boys, Fakeshoredrive, Hip Hop Dx, The Industry Cosign, Bringing Down The Band and many more. Maja 7th has expanded his global reach over the years as well by being featured on blogs and websites in over 50 countries and counting.

Maja 7th is currently working on new material and continuing to expand his global brand. He is focusing on preserving the culture of Hip Hop while being creative and original with his production style. There are many great things to come. Stay Tuned!
